ClickFunnels is one of the most well-known and popular sales funnel builders out there, but it can be cost prohibitive, especially for new business owners. Fortunately, there are great alternatives to ClickFunnels.
The 5 alternatives on this list are full of robust features and most are less expensive than ClickFunnels. Alright, let’s stop wasting time and get going!
The Best Alternatives to Clickfunnels in 2021
What is Clickfunnels?
Before I get into the alternatives, I just want to go over what you’re getting with ClickFunnels so you know how these options compare to it. ClickFunnels is a funnel builder, and a very powerful one at that.
It has a full suite of marketing tools that lets you automate the process of gaining leads, growing your email list, converting sales, and more. It has features to do A/B testing, ecommerce integrations, lead capture forms, lists and segmentation, personalization, and analytics.
What most marketers really love about ClickFunnels is that there are tons of pre-built funnels for you to choose from, which makes it approachable for new marketers. There’s also a lot of love for ClickFunnels because you can create and sell funnels on the platform, and there’s also a strong affiliate program.
Not all of the alternatives I’m going to tell you about are specifically for funnels, most are page builders, but they do offer tools that let you join those pages, pop-ups, and forms together to create funnels.
So when you pay for ClickFunnels, you’re getting strong marketing tools, pre-built funnels, and the option to add an additional income stream.
Here’s our full review of ClickFunnels.
1. Leadpages
Leadpages is known in the industry as being one of the most robust landing page builders. And even though it’s primarily for landing pages, Leadpages has a list of features that makes it a great alternative to ClickFunnels.
First, let me tell you about Leadpages core feature – it’s landing page creator. The creator offers a drag-and-drop editor, which was completely redesigned back in 2016. There are over 130 free templates you can use to get started, marketing integrations, website integrations (WordPress, Squarespace, Joomla, etc.), A/B testing, and an in-board analytics dashboard that works well with Facebook Pixel.
There’s Leadboxes, which lets you create custom designed pop-ups to capture email addresses, for example. You can also use the Forms widget to create detailed forms for sales webinar sign ups, course sign ups, etc.
You can build funnels with Leadpages, but they primarily focus on something called micro funnels, which are really short and simple funnels. They have three blocks: landing page, pop-up, and thank you page. You can build more advanced funnels, but it’s not an intuitive or guided process like you get with ClickFunnels.
Leadpages has a 3-tiered pricing structure, running from $27/month to $239/month. Most small business owners will be pretty happy with the middle option at $59/month. There’s unlimited traffic and leads, free hosting, online sales and payments, unlimited split testing, and more.
Pros:
- Beginner friendly drag and drop editor
- Lots of free templates and even more paid ones
- You can build entire websites with Leadpages
Cons:
- The cheapest tier lacks some of the bet feature, like A/B testing
- Lacks a strong funnel builder

2. Wishpond
Wishpond is an alternative to ClickFunnels with strong lead generation and marketing automation features. This is really an all-in-one option that has tools for creating landing pages, pop-ups, and embedded lead-generation forms. You can use Wishpond to run sweepstakes and contests, do lead management, score leads, and create profiles for all of your leads.
Those are all really great features, but what makes it really a good ClickFunnels contender is that you can trigger personalized emails to your leads based on their activity on your website or personal details, and you can create drip campaigns
Wishpond has three plans starting at $79/month up to $299/month. If you pay for the year in full, you can save up to $100/month on your plan. For example, the Everything You Need Plan is $199/month when you pay monthly. But pay annually, and the monthly price drops to $99.
You’ll want at least the Everything You Need Plan if you want Wishpond to really compare to ClickFunnels. The cheaper option doesn’t have A/B testing, custom Javascript, and you’re limited to 1,000 leads.
Pros:
- Great for tracking leads
- Solid social media promotional tools
- User friendly interface
Cons:
- Limited reporting capabilities
- Wishpond charges by lead
3. Unbounce
Unbounce is an incredibly flexible and powerful landing page builder that also has some great lead capturing tools to make it a suitable alternative to ClickFunnels.
One thing many marketers and business owners are afraid of when it comes to creating their own websites and landing pages is the idea of having to code it all themselves. Unbounce is very beginner friendly, meaning you don’t need coding skills to create beautiful pages.
It uses a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, so you get a real-time picture of the pages you’re creating. You use that same editor when creating pop-ups and sticky bars. There are features that let you clone entire pages to save time, add custom scripts and pixels, and you can get started with over 100 free templates.
Because so many more people are searching the web via their phone, Unbounce has some robust mobile features – a mobile layout assistant and custom mobile pages. But the most impressive is a new feature called Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP). Landing pages created with AMP load up to 85% faster than standard mobile pages.
Unbounce has another unique new feature called Smart Traffic. This is AI-powered optimization that delivers the best landing page to each visitor. What that means is that Smart Traffic looks at each visitor’s attributes and then, instead of sending all of them to the same landing page, you send them to one with a CTA or content that better suits them.
Unbounce has four different price levels, starting at $80/month and running up to $300/month. Optimize, which is $120/month, is the best for your money IMHO. You get the Smart Traffic feature, A/B testing, 3 connected domains, up to 1000 conversions, and up to 30,000 visitors.
Pros:
- Smart Traffic can help with conversions
- WYSIWYG editor is great
- Lots of mobile friendly features
Cons:
- To get the Smart Traffic feature, it becomes expensive for new users
- Unbounce charges by conversions and visitors
4. Instapage
Instapage is another really popular alternative to ClickFunnels because it’s a very scalable option for businesses. It’s a little more expensive for brand new businesses – starting at $149/month if you pay annually – but you know you can trust it because it’s used by companies like Verizon, Hello Fresh, Soundcloud, and eBay.
Considering the higher price point, it’s really nice that Instpage doesn’t charge based on conversions, leads, or visitors.
Instapage delivers standout features that fall into six different products:
- Landing Pages: Access over 500+ layouts developed, has built-in collaboration, drag-and-drop editor, and more
- Personalization: 1:1 ad-to-page personalization – which is delivering landing pages and popups based on user information
- Experimentation: A/B testing, analytic insights, and use heatmaps to understand visitor
- Page Speed: Incredibly fast page load times with AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) and the Thor Render Engine, which is proprietary back-end technology that helps pages load faster
- Visual Collaboration: Teams can expedite the review process of their pages by consolidating feedback in one place, two-way synchronization, and includes secure sharing
- AdMap: Lets you easily connect ads to relevant post-click landing pages, plus track your post-click scores and create personalized experiences
Like I said, the lowest priced plan is $149/month and that’s only if you bill annually. Otherwise, you’ll pay $199/month. To get all of the features, especially the high-value ones like AMP and 1:1 Ad-to-Page Personalization, you will have to look into custom pricing based on the size of your business and team.
Pros:
- Some of the most powerful features around
- Great experimentation tools
- Easily scales with your business
Cons:
- A higher starting price point
- Lowest cost plan doesn’t come with some of the most impressive feature
5. GetResponse
GetResponse has great all-in-one marketing features, and it’s priced well, making it a really great cheap alternative to ClickFunnels. When I say priced well, GetResponse starts at only $15/month. That’s super affordable.
GetResponse has an impressive landing page builder, unique features for marketing automations and webinars. You can create and manage social media ads in the platform, like Google and Facebook ads. There are also standard tools like pop-ups and forms.
GetResponse is one of the few ClickFunnels alternatives on this list that has dedicated software for creating funnels. Instead putting together the popups, ads, landing pages, forms, and email marketing together, GetResponse organizes all of those pieces together for you in funnels.
There are over 30 professionally-designed and conversion-optimized funnels for simple opt-ins, delivering lead magnet, sales funnels, and webinar funnels. Funnels include options for one-click upsells, payment processing, automated order confirmations, and abandoned order emails.
GetResponse has affordable pricing starting at $15/month if you have a list size of 1,000 or less. You’re also limited to only one sales funnel. The next level, which GetResponse say is it’s most popular option is Plus. Plus is $49/month and comes with five funnels. It also adds on the automation builder, webinars, contact scoring and tagging, and more.
Pros:
- Affordable entry price
- Dedicated funnel builder
- Integrated webinar functionality
Cons:
- Priced based on the size of your list
- Lead capture tools aren’t as strong as other platforms
The final word on the best alternative to ClickFunnels
Out of all of the alternatives on this list, GetResponse is the one that looks the most like ClickFunnels. That’s because it has pre-built funnels you can use to deliver lead magnets, convert sales, run webinars, and create simple opt-ins. The only thing it’s missing compared to ClickFunnels is SEO management.
But like I said in the very beginning: all of these options have powerful tools that will help you grow your list and convert leads. It’s more about the approach you want to take. ClickFunnels and GetResponse have built the funnels for you, while a platform like Unbounce gives you powerful tools to create those funnels on your own.
