There is a popular joke about a man who prays to a statue of a great saint and begs to be given the grace to win the lottery. This happens every single day until it reaches the point where the statue comes to life and exasperatedly replies, “My son, please, please, please buy a ticket!”. There are moments in your life that you want something to transpire or want a change to manifest, but yet you are not willing to take the required action.
You aspire to be a successful blogger or podcaster or Youtuber, etc., but have you taken the next step for it to happen? For instance hitting that publish button? Most of the time, you are so conscious in crafting content, way too conscious that your perfectionism and fear of failure get in the way. Failure is an opportunity to learn and being afraid is okay as long as you don’t let the fear kill your creativity. Why waste time on creating something that no one will ever see? Just put it out there!
Join us on this episode as we share our thoughts and advice regarding the significance of getting started and the benefits of just putting your content out for the world to see.
“When it comes to the branding, the image and how we portray ourselves, logos, design, the content, I want it to be perfect. That’s super important to me just like my personal reputation is super important to me BUT at the same time I’ve always kinda embrace this just like let’s swing it, let’s do it, let’s put it out there because if the content is good, you’re trying to be useful to the audience and you’re just sharing your personality, it’s gonna be good, it’s gonna be better than if it’s scripted than if it’s robotic. And early on, it’s gonna suck like, what you think is perfect now, is not gonna be perfect a year from now.” – Mike Yanda
